Good afternoon, Ringwood,
I hope you are all well.
Today we attended a multi-agency response to a report of an elderly male that was stuck in deep mud in the New Forest near Godshill. He was exposed to the elements and in an area with limited phone signal, making locating him difficult.
Ringwood officers liaised with the ambulance hazardous area response team (HART) and Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS) to come up with a plan to locate him.
The police helicopter (NPAS) was also requested to help assist with the search.
Thankfully the male was located and he is recovering well. it is always good to see such effective multiagency working using #JESIP (Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles).
While this was happening, PC York had detained a shoplifter in Waitrose while it was in progress! A 31 year old male from Portsmouth has been arrested and is being dealt with for offences in Ringwood and in Surrey.
Yesterday we arrested a male who had been evading police for several weeks for failing to appear at court and breaching his bail. An address was contained and he was found hiding in the loft. Our comms team will post more on this soon.
I hope you all have a good week and the weather gets better soon!
