A man has been arrested after officers located suspected Class A drugs and more than £1,700 in cash in Basingstoke yesterday. We were called at 3.40pm on Monday 5 May to a report of a potential drug deal taking place on Fullbrook Drive. Officers attended the scene and detained a man. Following a search, they located a white plastic bag containing more than 130 wraps of suspected Class A drugs. £1,730 in cash was also seized. A 24-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A. He remains in custody while our enquiries continue. We encourage people to continue to report suspicious behaviour and suspected drug dealing in your neighbourhood to police, as the information you provide helps us develop the bigger picture that leads us to take action and remove drugs from the streets.
