Man charged after car stolen and damaged in Southsea


A 25 year-old man has been charged after a car was stolen and damaged in a collision in Southsea.

We received reports that on Wednesday 6 November, a man in his 60s woke up to find his car and car keys had been stolen overnight from his address on Bath Road in Southsea.

 

The car was found abandoned later the same day, having been involved in a collision with a number of parked cars on Heidelberg Road.

 

Nicholas Millins, 25, of Bath Road in Southsea has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking and vehicle damage of £5000 or over, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance.

 

Millins pleaded guilty today (Tuesday 21 January) to all offences and has been remanded into custody until Wednesday 5 February, when he is due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court for sentencing.
