A 26-year-old man from Southampton has been charged with burglary following a reported incident at Tesco Superstore, Sizer Way, Dibden.

Vijay Louis Bunth Sandhu, of Portswood Road, appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Friday (17 January), charged with one count of burglary other than dwelling.

It follows a report of a theft of nearly £2,000 worth of items from the store’s warehouse on Tuesday 14 January.

Sandhu was remanded in custody to next appear at the same court on Thursday (23 January).
