Well done to our colleagues on E shift of the District Policing Team, based at Lyndhurst Police Station.

Yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 9 July) they were called to a report of an attempted theft of a horse box on the Roundhills Camp Site, just outside Brockenhurst.

When they arrived they found a silver van that was suspected of being used in the attempt – checks on that van found that it was reported stolen in Dorset in May and was on false plates.

The van has been recovered and the horse box has been returned to its owner.
